UPDATES: 76 Revitalization Program (Segment 3) w/e June 30

CONSTRUCTION HEADLINES: Underground construction of new 12” water main and conduits for underground utilities is now complete, and the sidewalk in front of the fountain at Hollywood Wax Museum is now finished.

Construction this week will have no impact on traffic traveling Highway 76.

WORK SCHEDULE THIS WEEK:
Surface improvements (sidewalks, curbs and gutters) now focused on Branson Ferris Wheel, the Titanic, Best Western Hotel and northeast corner of Highway 76 and Francis Street with landscaping activities to immediately follow with completion expected by end of week.

Installation of the signalized pedestrian crossings at Ripley’s Believe-It-Or-Not and Hollywood Wax Museum. Capstones will be set at the Titanic Museum.

Drilling of light bases along Segment 3 for new street and pedestrian lights will be taking place, and curbs are being poured at various locations.

Work on CID expansion will continue focused on properties along Highway 76 outside of Segment 3 from Shepherd of the Hills to US Highway 65.

(As always, work schedules are dependent on weather-related circumstances).

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Improve the appearance, comfort and safety of Highway 76 through buried utilities and unique streetscape beautification that includes wider, decorative sidewalks as well as lighted seat walls, signalized pedestrian crossings and landscaping. Create a safe and efficient interplay of vehicles and pedestrians.

Segment 3 of the 76 Revitalization extends 0.6 miles from Presleys’ Theater west to the Branson Ferris Wheel.
