EB lane closed on Hwy 76 in front of Presleys' Theater - traffic to use center lane in this zone

Sidewalk Installation Underway at Presleys’ Theater on Hwy 76!

Another milestone is underway in front of Presleys' Theater on Hwy 76 where the installation of a new sidewalk, curb and gutter began today, January 9! As a result, the EB lane in closed at this location for approximately two weeks. EB traffic will use the center lane around the construction zone.

The new 8'-wide textured sidewalks are desert tan in color, nearly twice the width as the former sidewalk, and resemble that which was recently installed on the south side of 76 between Ellen and Francis Streets.

These surface improvements follow the installation of underground utilities and are part of the master plan that includes wider, safer, pedestrian-friendly walkway along 76. The 76 Revitalization Project is designed to greatly enhance the appearance of the famous corridor from downtown to Shepherd of the Hills Expressway.
