In an effort to better inform the public and to assist lodging owners through the business licensing process, the City of Branson is reminding all lodging facilities and owners of those facilities of the approaching licensing deadline on November 1, 2018. All inspections, paperwork and licenses should be complete and in-hand by this date for all hotels, motels and lodging facilities to remain in operation.
The City is also unveiling a list of all lodging facilities that have outstanding violations to complete prior to initiating their request for a business license, which is issued by the City of Branson, so the public and lodging owners can be aware of a property’s current status.
Owners should address any violations identified during their annual inspections performed earlier this year, by obtaining any necessary permits, completing the required work and then calling the responsible department for a follow-up inspection. The departments and contact information are as follows:
- Code Enforcement (417) 337-8527
- Fire Department (417) 243-2790
- Health Department (417) 334-4544
- Business License Code Officer (417) 337-8592
The City would encourage all residents and visitors to make sure the place they choose to stay has a business license issued by the City of Branson. You can find the list of lodging facilities that do not have licenses, along with the ones that do but have outstanding violations needing to be addressed, on our website, here: www.bransonmo.gov/lodgingstatus
