Public Invited to City’s Annual Arbor Day Celebration

Arbor Day

The City of Branson would like to invite area residents and businesses to the City’s annual Arbor Day Celebration on Friday, April 26 at 4:30 p.m. at the Branson Community Center located at 201 Compton Drive, Branson, Missouri.

The event will be set up in the south yard of the Community Center where several local Girl Scout Troops along with the City of Branson Tree Board, City of Branson staff and local Missouri Department of Conservation foresters will plant a tree in honor of Arbor Day.

The City of Branson welcomes anyone interested in attending to stop by and enjoy learning more about the many benefits of our native trees.

Please visit https://www.bransonmo.gov/527/Tree-Board-Memorial-Fund-Programs to find out how to participate in the local memorial tree program.

“It is well that you should celebrate your Arbor Day thoughtfully, for within your lifetime the nation's need of trees will become serious. We of an older generation can get along with what we have, though with growing hardship; but in your full manhood and womanhood you will want what nature once so bountifully supplied and man so thoughtlessly destroyed; and because of that want you will reproach us, not for what we have used, but for what we have wasted.”
~Theodore Roosevelt, 1907 Arbor Day Message
