Community Emergency Communications, Powered by Everbridge

The City of Branson has instituted the BransonALERTS Emergency Notification System, which is an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency and non-emergency community notifications. This system allows us to telephone the entire Branson community or targeted areas of the city in case of an emergency situation or city notification that requires immediate action (such as weather warnings, missing child or evacuation notices, or utility outages). The system is capable of dialing an estimated 50,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers a text-to-speech or a recorded message to a live person, an answering machine, text message, or email.

You must be a Branson resident or business to participate. Visit Everbridge to register land-line, cell, text, or email and get started!

Uses of BransonALERTS

This system will primarily be used for emergency purposes. Examples of times when the BransonALERTS system could be utilized include:

  • Bomb threat
  • Chemical or sewage spills
  • Evacuation notice and route
  • Fires or floods
  • Hostage situation
  • Missing person
  • Severe weather
  • Utility outage
  • Other emergency incidents where rapid accurate notification is essential for life safety
