At their regular October 26 meeting, the Branson Board of Aldermen postponed the scheduled first reading of Bill No. 6064, the proposed and balanced 2022 budget, to a special meeting on November 18, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. in order to receive additional information from the Finance Department.

Mayor Milton also called a special combined meeting with the Aldermen and the Finance Committee for October 28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. ahead of the first reading, to discuss any needed changes to the budget.

During the scheduled public hearing on the 2022 proposed budget, there was discussion between the Aldermen, the public and city staff. The meeting and all discussions can be heard on our website at BransonMo.Gov/Livestream. The proposed 2022 budget can be found on the city’s website, BransonMo.Gov, in the “Reports” section under “Financial.”

As a reminder, all Bills need two readings and votes before the Board of Aldermen.

The City of Branson’s 2022 Budget process started in June, 2021, when each department began compiling budget data. A timeline of the City’s budget process is as follows:
